Website monitoring means a service requests your website at short intervals, just like a real visitor would - and raises an alarm when it does not respond, or responds too slowly. No code on your site is needed: everything is checked from the outside.

How fast will I know about an outage?
Checks run every 1 to 5 minutes depending on plan. You are notified in the app instantly; the email goes out once your website has been down for more than 2 minutes - so brief network hiccups never wake you up.
Do I need to add code to my website?
No. Sitebaze checks from the outside via your website’s normal address - like a visitor. There is nothing to install and nothing to maintain, and it works with any system: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or your own server.
What can I monitor besides the website itself?
Besides HTTP(S) there are eight more check types depending on plan: TCP, SSL, keyword (is a specific text on the page?), SMTP, port, DNS, IMAP and POP3. That covers mail servers and services behind your website too.
Will I be warned before my SSL certificate expires?
Yes - 14 days before expiry. An expired certificate is one of the most unnecessary outages there is: browsers show a warning page, and many visitors never come back.
How does Sitebaze avoid false alarms?
Three ways: an alert only fires after several failed checks (configurable per monitor), the email only goes out after 2 minutes of downtime, and the "back online" all-clear comes automatically - including the outage duration for your records.
